for the next six days, i'm going to upload three songs that remind me of the last six summers of my life. enjoy.
summer before first year of university
blink 182 - going away to college: that whole "enema of the state" album was on repeat in my old blue station wagon... ah yes. "the party song", "dumpweed", "mutt".... i loved them all. but i think i liked this one the most because i was in fact, going away to college. i'll fully admit that blink 182 isn't the best band in the world, but whatever, they had a streak there with "enema" and "dude ranch" where, let's be honest, they were just the stupidest fun band in the world.
system of a down - sugar: hey, remember when i liked SOAD? because i have trouble even acknowledging that i liked them at some point. i don't anymore, thats for sure. but i really enjoyed this album, don't ask me why. and sugar was so catchy for such a hard rock song.
powerman 5000 - when worlds collide: whoa, powerman 5000! who remembers THEM!? have they done anything recently? actually, they did have an album come out in 2003. see, the thing is about them.... i really did like them. comic book hard rock is pretty fun stuff.
so in conclusion - i listened to a lot of bad hard rock (thanks, waaf. really. i even liked godsmack back then but i never bought an album thank you very much.)
