so, here's a proper update.
the bloodhound gang - uhn tiss uhn tiss uhn tiss: back once again for the first time.... the bloodhound gang! remember them? super. their new album, entitled 'hefty fine' is just a collection of remarkably stupid songs, but that's why we like them here at benlovesmusic. in fact, i bought the german import of 'hooray for boobies' since it wasn't available in the states at the time. that's how much i dug these guys back in the day. while i'm a little disappointed that their new album is as long as a weezer album, it's still pretty good. this track, 'uhn tiss uhn tiss uhn tiss' was originally actually titled 'the bad touch pt 2', due to its similarity. if you liked the bad touch, you'll like this one.
franz ferdinand - eleanor put your boots on: well hello, alex kapranos! franzy does their best job to channel revolver-era beatles, and quite frankly, they do a damned good job of it. from start to finish, it's really quite obviously an homage to the beatles and it's done wonderfully. while its the least 'rock and roll' track on the new album, it's one of the best.
the plot to blow up the eiffel tower - vulture control: dfa 1979 meets their match.
