mashup fridays!

holla!



today's featured mashup genius is mcsleazy, one of the longest-tenured mash-up djs out there. he's been doing 'em for at least five or six years, and his work is pretty legendary, all things considered. his 'franzie boys' mix was played on live105 for a good amount of time, his nirvana vs. michael jackson 'billie spirit' has been played by many, and more recently, he's remixed britney spears songs for jive records. all in all, he's done quite well for himself.

two of my favorite mashes of his are his daft punk vs. garbage mix 'paranoid funk', transforming garbage's smash hit 'paranoid' into a dance rock track - even moreso than before. i'm also a big fan of his madison avenue vs. blur mash 'don't call me song 2', creating a whirlwind of rock and pop that ends as quickly as it starts. enjoy.
